I first heard about one of this city’s best-kept secrets a few years ago. While suffering from a particularly vile hangover and starving, my friends introduced me to it. Located on Union Avenue near Belvedere, the Wiles-Smith drugstore and lunch counter is one of only two privately owned pharmacies in Memphis and the only one with an honest to goodness old-fashioned soda fountain.
